WHO IS YWAM?
Youth With AMission (YWAM) is an international inter-denominational movement of Christians, with 16,000 staff working in a 1000 operating locations in 149 countries. YWAM’s three core goals are; making God Known, showing mercy to the poor, and training and equipping others to love and know God and love their neighbour.
YWAM VANCOUVER HISTORY
YWAM Vancouver has been operating since the early 1990’s, and is presently situated in the Commercial Drive area which is a crossroads section of the city with the largest diversity of cultures and peoples in greater Vancouver, a city of 2.2 million.

YWAM VANCOUVER VISION
Shaping urban workers, affecting the urban world...
By 2020 70% of the World will live in cities.
In 1950 there were 83 cities of more then one million in the world. By 2007 there were 468.
The goal of YWAM Vancouver is to educate and train people into a lifestyle of city missions, and to encourage them to see the city through the eyes of God, giving them ministry tools that they can use to go into Vancouver and the mega cities of the world. We encourage young people to love God and love their neighbour.
YWAM VANCOUVER PROGRAMS& MINISTRIES
We run a wide variety of youth and training programs thought the city. Our primary strategies are running multiple University of the Nations courses and Mission Adventures youth programs. These two foundational programs, along with our emerging home based preschool and sports programs, provide a strong foundation for future growth.

YWAM VANCOUVER WHY NAPIER?
Acquisition of the Napier street building is a key part of a multi-phase vision to see the ministry of YWAM Vancouver fully established and rooted in the city of Vancouver.
This new building will serve as hub and ministry center for our work in the city. Future plans include additional buildings such as outreach warehouse for larger gatherings and training classrooms and apartment buildings for staff housing .
Presently we are impacting 9,000 people per year with a long-term goal to impact 27,000 people per year... an increase of 300%. In this building we will be able to build on and improve what we have already started in this city and begin to see an increase in our effectiveness.

• Legal & closing cost $100,000
• Building Renovations $580,000
• Two year operational costs $180,000
• Total Goal $2,000,000
FROM THE DIRECTOR
The Napier Street building will give this ministry a stability factor and permanent place in the city, something we have never had. The days of living in rented spaces hopefully can end. We believe now is the time to plant our roots, expand and grow.
