Did you know that in 2012 more than 50% of the worlds population will be living within Urban areas, and yet the percent of missionaries working in these same urban centers are only around 4%. We here at YWAM Vancouver believe that God has called us to work in urban missions. Because Vancouver is full of different peoples and nations, with over 180 nationalities represented within our city, we believe that this city is the perfect place to reach a variety of both ethnic and social classes in a relatively small area. We invite you and your team to come with us and explore what it means to be an urban missionary here in Vancouver B.C. In just one day you’ll be overjoyed and broken hearted as you walk through one of the poorest postal codes and, just a few blocks later, one of the wealthiest ones in all of Canada!
